ABOUT
Cy An is a French-Korean fashion photographer and visual storyteller based in Paris, currently pursuing a Master’s in Fashion Imaging at L’Institut Français de la Mode. Born in New York and raised across seven countries—including Seoul and Dubai—his practice is shaped by a global perspective, artistic inquiry, and cultural nuance. Named after the color cyan and the artist Cy Twombly, his work is rooted in visual symbolism and shaped by a sustained dialogue with both historical and contemporary art.
Through ongoing research, he explores mysticism, urban modernity, isolation, and life as performance—often articulated through an architectural visual style. With a background in Integrated Design and Media from NYU, he brings a multidisciplinary approach to his collaborations, which include campaigns and creative projects for brands such as Dior, NOID, Coach, and Hunter. He has also contributed to editorial productions featured in Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, and The Wall Street Journal.
Currently, Cy is interested in expanding his visual practice across other sensory dimensions—exploring how the poetics of image-making might translate into the worlds of perfumery, interior design, and luxury branding.
